Marjorie Merriweather Post’s Stunning Cartier Jewelry Exhibit

If you’re a jewelry aficionado like ourselves, then you’ll need to check out Marjorie Merriweather Post’s stunning cartier jewelry exhibit.

American heiress, Marjorie Merriweather Post, was a leading socialite during the early twentieth century. Her father was the founder of Postum Cereals (today’s Post Holdings, Inc.) and after his passing in 1914, Marjorie became the richest woman in the United States. With a fortune worth $240 million, she was able to live a lavish lifestyle that included a mansion in Palm Beach, the world’s largest yacht (at the time) and a unique and stunning jewellery collection.

Last December, Marjorie Merriweather Post’s Cartier collection was on exhibit in Paris’ Grand Palais. The stand-out piece was a diamond art deco brooch with 250 carats of 17th century emeralds. The brooch along with the other breathtaking pieces will now cross the Atlantic and be displayed at Hillwood Estate, the former residence of the Post family, now turned museum.
